[HanCinema's News] Sexual Harassment Drives "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" to Top of the Good Data Report

On July 9th the Good Data Corporation released the latest iteration of the Good Data Report, which measures how viewers are responding to dramas by analyzing trends in traditional media as well as social media. The current report, which measured viewer reactions from June 29th to July 5th, once again showed "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" in the top spot for dramas, with lead actors Seo Yea-ji and Kim Soo-hyun in the first and second spots for performers respectively.

According to the Good Data Corportation, the main driver for traffic this week related to sexual harassment. "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" has long had the idea worked into the premise, as the character played by Seo Yea-ji aggressively pursues the one played by Kim Soo-hyun. This in spite of his expressed disinterest and the obvious power imbalance of her being much wealthier than he is.
"Backstreet Rookie" has also faced similar criticism from its inception, though it only ranked third place, possibly because in subsequent weeks the more comedically themed drama attempted to play down the more discomforting aspects of its premise rather than emphasize them. Elsewhere in the list, "Once Again" was number two, while "Unfamiliar Family" was number four and "Oh My Baby" was number five.
