The upcoming retrospective tvN fantasy drama "Twenty Five Twenty One" has confirmed a new cast member. So Hee-jung will play the role of Seung-wan's mother. Seung-wan herself will be played by Lee Ju-myoung. Her character has been described as an aggressively attentive mother. Though Seung-wan is only a supporting character, it appears that Seung-wan's mother will also have some important relation to the lead Yi-jin, who will be played by Nam Joo-huk.

Recent credits for So Hee-jung include "Hospital Playlist Season 2" and "One Ordinary Day" where she played minor roles. She often plays the mothers of leading characters, and does so across a wide variety of genres. This includes historical drama such as "Bossam: Steal the Fate" and ensembles such as "At a Distance, Spring is Green" from last year. So Hee-jung even played Yoo Ah-in's mother in the zombie film "Alive" from 2020. "Twenty Five Twenty One" will begin airing on February 12th.
