[HanCinema's News] Son Sukku Considers Joining "The Roundup"
By William Schwartz | Published on
A person familiar with Son Sukku's agency, SBD Entertainment, has said that the actor has received an offer to appear in "The Roundup". The part in question is a villainous one, so if Son Sukku takes the role he would be playing a similar role to the one Yoon Kye-sang played in the first part of "The Outlaws", acting as antagonist to presumed leading man Ma Dong-seok.

Son Sukku's most recent high profile role was as the second lead in "Matrimonial Chaos" from 2018. His being offered such a high profile acting role is surprising, as is the fact that he has apparently not yet accepted it. Concerns about the production status of "The Roundup" may be at issue. It is unclear whether Ma Dong-seok would return for a second installment.
Additionally, the second feature film from "The Outlaws" director Kang Yoon-Sung greatly underperformed expectations at the box office. Though he had committed to the sequel, expectations for it may have lowered in light of the poor reception to "Long Live the King".
