By William Schwartz | Published on
In a recent interview with GQ Korea Magazine, Song Joong-ki denied all online rumors about his wife Katy Louise Saunders except for the name of the university she attended. Song Joong-ki claimed not to be bothered by the rumors at first, saying that this was a daily hazard for celebrities, and that it didn't change their love for each other. However, Song Joong-ki claimed to get angry as the rumors seemed to continue escalating.

Song Joong-ki said that his wife calmed him down, told him this was no big deal, and these people weren't worth getting mad at. Song Joong-ki cited his wife as a positive influence on him, due to her ability to listen to nearly anything, making her a friend he can say anything to. Song Joong-ki also claimed to find her agreeable from a philosophical perspective, reenforcing his core beliefs, suggesting that she has a "me too" type of attitude in regard to his opinions.
According to Song Joong-ki, the reason for the seemingly abrupt marriage and pregnancy announcement was because he was about to start working again, citing a script reading for "My Name Is Loh Kiwan" as his immediate commitment following their civil ceremony. They ended up having to take a late dinner that night due to all the work. Song Joong-ki claimed to be a bit out of his mind that day.
Song Joong-ki also said that, though he had also mentioned this in previous interviews, having a family and a child has been the ultimate goal of his life. Though Song Joong-ki did not mention his ex-wife Song Hye-kyo, some have interpreted this as the closest thing the public is likely to get as to an explanation for the breakdown in their marriage. Song Joong-ki thus described his state of mind that day as being nervous but in a good state of tension.
Song Jong-ki is currently in Hungary for "My Name Is Loh Kiwan" doing location shooting. The film is expected to be released worldwide via Netflix later this year. Song Joong-ki has also already filmed "Bogota: City of the Lost" and "Hopeless" which are expected to be released in South Korean theaters some time this year.
