[HanCinema's News] South Korean President Holds Briefing on Jang Ja-yeon and 'Burning Sun'

On March 18th in the afternoon, South Korean President Moon Jae-in underwent an hour long report on the Jang Ja-yeon investigation as well as the 'Burning Sun' investigation centered around Jung Joon-young. In a statement, he expressed disappointment about how these cases were handled.

He further went on to state that government officials appeared to have acted improperly, and may well have impeded the pursuit of justice. Moon Jae-in also expressed frustration with how these actions were so severe as to deservedly erode trust in public institutions and that if these matters are not dealt with correctly, this trust may never recover.
Moon Jae-in emphasized that while these were past incidents that was no excuse for the truth not to come forward now. He staked the reputation of prosecutors and the police on their ability to right the wrongs of these cases.
