"Crash Landing on You" deals with an heiress who accidentally lands in North Korea due to a paragliding accent. There she meets a soldier who had previously met her overseas, and subsequently tries to protect her. "Crash Landing on You" has also attracted interest due to how its leading stars, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, got married earlier this year having started to see each other romantically while filming the drama.
The pair first met while making the hostage situation film "The Negotiation" back in 2017. Min Woo-hyuk, Lee Kyu-hyung, and Lee Jang-woo will alternate playing the role made famous by Hyun Bin in the stage musical version. Lim Hye-young and Kim Ryeo-won-I have been confirmed for the role made famous by Son Ye-jin.
