[HanCinema's News] "The Glory" Again Tops Good Data Report

On March 13th the Good Data Corporation released the latest iteration of the Good Data Report, which measures the most popular South Korean serial dramas via non-traditional metrics such as social media engagement. For the second week of March, here defined as March 6th to March 12th, the Netflix drama "The Glory" was the most popular drama. Lim Ji-yeon of "The Glory" was the most popular performer- despite her not being the credited lead.

Song Hye-kyo is the leading actress of "The Glory" and was in second place. Other performers from "The Glory" dominated the rest of the chart. Lead actor Lee Do-hyun was third place, Jung Sung-il-I in fourth place, Park Sung-hoon in fifth place, Cha Joo-young in sixth place, and finally, Kim Hieora in eighth place. The strong performance by "The Glory" is not surprising. There had been interest in the revenge drama for weeks in social media as fans waiting for the second part to come out.

"The Glory" has also been tremendously popular worldwide, ranking in the Netflix top ten for nearly every region the streaming service is available in according to FlixPatrol. "The Glory" was the number one serial drama in Netflix in thirty-eight regions on March 12th, and the third most popular serial drama in the United States. The first part of "The Glory" was released on December 30th of last year, with the second part coming this past March 10th.
