[HanCinema's News] "The Roundup" Posts Strong Numbers on South Korean VOD Services

This past July 20th saw the release of "The Roundup" on South Korean Video-On-Demand (VOD) services. The action blockbuster had earned twelve million admissions during its run on the South Korean box office, and has shown similarly strong numbers as it enters secondary markets. The VOD service HomeChoice has stated that in its first five days "The Roundup" has been purchased fifty thousand times on its platform.

HomeChoice has also stated that when other VOD services are taken into account, they believe "The Roundup" has overall numbers of around a hundred thousand purchases. The news comes as "The Roundup" seeks wider distribution worldwide, though the specific success of the movie outside its native South Korean market. "The Roundup" has earned 12,686,236 admissions at the South Korean box office, ranking ninth for domestic films at thirteenth overall at the South Korean box office.
