At approximately eight in the morning Korean time on August 27th, "The Roundup: Punishment" hit two million admissions. "The Roundup: Punishment" is now already set up for an exceptional weekend, as it earned most of these admissions just on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. "The Roundup: Punishment" is the fourth fastest film in South Korean box office history in terms of hitting this benchmark and also earned these admissions faster than its three predecessors in the franchise.

"The Roundup: Punishment" stars Ma Dong-seok in his fourth outing as Detective Ma, a physically imposing figure who often finds himself getting into fistfights with the criminal underworld. This time, his nemesis is an illegal online gambling ring run by Lee Dong-hwi as a CEO and Kim Mu-yeol as the operation's main muscle. "The Roundup: Punishment" was released in South Korean theaters on August 24th.
