[HanCinema's News] "The Roundup: Punishment" Exceeds "The Roundup: No Way Out" at the South Korean Box Office

According to figures released by the Korean Film Council on May 21st, "The Roundup: Punishment" now stands at 10,711,197 admissions, having earned 51,464 admissions on the previous day, a Monday. With this result, "The Roundup: Punishment" has now exceeded the full box office total earned by "The Roundup: No Way Out" last year. That preceeding film only earned 10,682,813 admissions at the South Korean box office throughout its full run.

"The Roundup: Punishment" was released in South Korean theaters on April 24th, and this total represents twenty-seven days of availability. And while the current daily numbers aren't what they used to be, "The Roundup: Punishment" remains the most popular film at the South Korean box office. For reference, the new thriller "Following" was in second place on May 20th, with 33,577 admissions for a grand total of 424,151 admissions.
