[HanCinema's News] "The Roundup: Punishment" Passes Six Million Viewer Mark

According to the Korean Film Council, at approximately seven o' clock in the evening on May 2nd, "The Roundup: Punishment" logged its six millionth admission. "The Roundup: Punishment" is now the fastest film this year to hit the six million viewer mark, having achieved the feat in only nine days. "Exhuma" required eleven days for the same feat. "The Roundup" from 2022 was able to hit six million viewer in ten days.

The lead and supporting actors of "The Roundup: Punishment" all released handwritten notes via social media thanking theatergoers for allowing them to achieve this number. "The Roundup: Punishment" is the fourth iteration of a franchise that began with "The Outlaws" back in 2017. All four films star Ma Dong-seok as a physically imposing police officer who begrudgingly gets into fist fights. "The Roundup: Punishment" was released in South Korean theaters on April 24th.
