According to figures released by the Korean Film Council on June 10th, "The Roundup" is once again the most popular film at the South Korean box office. The action cop flick registered 111,862 admissions on Thursday June 9th. This edged out "Broker" in second place with 105,639 admissions. No other film was able to register more than 40,000 admissions for the day, suggesting that the two South Korean films will dominate all business at the box office this weekend.

"The Roundup" is now certain to break the ten million viewer mark over the weekend, and is now looking at further benchmarks beyond that point to determine its already historic place in South Korean film history. "The Roundup" is the first domestic South Korean film to perform this strongly since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the sequel to "The Outlaws" from 2017. "Broker" deals with a group of people connected by an abandoned baby, and was recently acclaimed at the Cannes Film Festival.
