[HanCinema's News] "The Witch : Part 2. the Other One" Not Committed to a Theatrical Release

On March 24th a South Korean news site reported that "The Witch : Part 2. The Other One" was looking at a release in the second half of 2022. The news was unremarkable, as "The Witch : Part 2. The Other One" has been without a release date for quite some time now. However, NEW, the film's distributor, issued a surprise statement in response asserting that there was no set release date for "The Witch : Part 2. The Other One" and they were looking at several distribution possibilities.

The statement is almost identical to those put out by the distribution companies for "The Call" and "Space Sweepers" as they began negotiations for release via streaming services rather than theaters. A Netflix release would be of particular interest to international fans, as they would gain access to "The Witch : Part 2. The Other One" at the same time as South Korean audiences. "The Witch : Part 2. The Other One" is the sequel to the "The Witch : Part 1. The Subversion" from 2018.
