[HanCinema's News] "The Witch : Part 2. the Other One" Now Looking at June Release

Following rumors that "The Witch : Part 2. The Other One" might be looking at a streaming only release, further news reporting from South Korean outlets has shown that the supernaturally themed action film may actually be looking at a June release. The comment from NEW prompting speculation about alternate distribution was released in response to a previous report. In this report, "The Witch : Part 2. The Other One" would be released in the second half of the year.

In a new statement in response to the June release reporting, NEW iterated that they were looking at a wide range of options for release. The wording of the new message more clearly implies that these wide options still presume that the movie is going to receive a normal theatrical release. "The Witch : Part 2. The Other One" is the sequel to "The Witch : Part 1. The Subversion" with a new lead actress, Shin Si-a, an unknown lead selected by competitive audition much as her predecessor Kim Da-mi was.
