[HanCinema's News] TVING Releases Full Version of Chunhyangjeon as It Appeared in "Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born"

On October 19th, tvN broadcast the third episode of "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" and shortly thereafter the episode was uploaded to various streaming platforms. As part of the story in this episode the characters, who are members of an acting troupe, put on a performance of Chunhyangjeon, or the Story of Chunhyang. Apparently, the actors did a full twenty two minute version of the story, although it does not appear so coherently edited in the final copy.

In response to popular fan response to the story-within-a-story, "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" has released an edited video that portrays the Story of Chunhyang as a single story uninterrupted by the overall plotline. "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born" stars Kim Tae-ri, Shin Ye-eun, and others as an acting troupe in fifties era South Korea after the Korean War. It had ratings of 12.726% in its most recent episode, the fourth, which aired on October 20th.
