On November 27th, Netflix released its official view counts for the week of November 18th to November 24th. The Yoo Yeon-seok led political thriller "When the Phone Rings" is off to a strong start. In its first three days of availability, viewers watched 7.4 million hours of the MBC drama. The ranking is somewhat inflated, however, since Netflix divides total hours available by hours viewed to determine its rankings.

"When the Phone Rings" was ninth place on the non-English list in terms of absolute hours viewed, rather than the divided number. The only other South Korean drama on the Netflix Official Top 10 this week was "Mr. Plankton" in ninth place with 22.3 million hours viewed. The romantic comedy about a sick man searching for his birth father has had at least 55.6 million hours viewed on Netflix since its premiere on November 8th.
