According to data aggregator FlixPatrol, November 25th was the best day yet for the romantic thriller "When the Phone Rings" starring Yoo Yeon-seok as a presidential spokesperson whose sign language interpretor wife in a marriage of convenience goes missing. "When the Phone Rings" was the most popular drama on all of Netflix in 33 distinct territories. It's also the fifth highest overall serial drama on the streaming platform.

In the Middle East, "When the Phone Rings" is the most popular drama in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. In Latin America, it's the most popular drama in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rice, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Salvador, and Venezuela. In Africa, it's the most popular drama in Morocco, Nigeria, and Oman.
Lastly, in Asia, it's the most popular drama in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. "When the Phone Rings" also shot up to second place in the Good Data Corporation's FUNdex for the third week of November, with lead actors Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin holding fourth and fifth place for performers. The MBC drama had domestic television ratings of 4.7% in its second episode on November 23rd.
