"Weak Hero Class 1" is a strong action-growth drama about a weak boy who confronts numerous violence with Soo-ho (Choi Hyun-wook) and Beom-seok, who become friends for the first time.
In the drama, Hong Kyung plays Oh Beom-seok, a boy who looks timid but has a complex inner side and has the biggest emotional change.
In the released pictorial, Hong Kyung catches the eye at once with his intelligent and sophisticated appearance.

In an interview with the filming, Hong Kyung said, "I hope there will be more stories in my teens and 20s. I hope that the worries and dark stories of the younger generation behind the hopeful side will be drawn", he said, expressing the significance of participating in "Weak Hero Class 1".
Regarding the role of Lee Hong-sae, a former senior police officer in the next film "Revenant", he replied, "I am thinking about drawing a real detective in his 20s and who is realistic", raising expectations for the character he will show.
