[Hot Takes from the Noonas] Choi Jin-hyuk offered lead in "Hospital Ship" opposite Ha Ji-won

Choi Jin-hyuk may follow up OCN hit, "Tunnel - Drama" by putting a lab coat and a stethoscope back on to play a doctor in MBC's "Hospital Ship"

"Hospital Ship" tells the story of a group of doctors on a hospital ship (clever name, I know) which sails around to tend to islanders in small villages. An offer is already out to Ha Ji-won to play a surgeon on the run from the collapse of her family, while Choi Jin-hyuk will play the warm but strong doctor who will melt her heart. Ha Ji-won has been considering whether to take on the role for the better part of two months, so maybe the inclusion of Choi Jin-hyuk will give her the push she needs to accept.

The setup sounds like a mellow romance, with some episodic medical stories to keep the action going, exactly the kind of thing I want to watch in the summer. Now, if we can figure out whether Choi Jin-hyuk and Ha Ji-won are a good matchup, we may have something on our hands here.

MBC is considering "Hospital Ship" for broadcast in August, in the Wednesday-Thursday time slot.
