The original TVING series "Dear X" is a brutal and beautiful melodrama thriller about a woman who wears a mask to survive and a man who tries to save her. It is the period of destruction of actor Baek Ah-jin (Kim You-jung), who goes from the bottom to the top of her life, and the desperate love of Yoon Joon-seo (Kim Young-dae), who chooses hell to protect her, that gives the essence of a different melodrama thriller.
Expectations are also high for the first meeting between legendary hitmaker Lee Eung-bok and TVING, which created "Sweet Home", "Mr. Sunshine", "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" and "Descendants of the Sun". In particular, the meeting of popular young actors double the genre's pleasure, as Kim You-jung, Kim Young-dae, Kim Do-hoon-I and Lee Yul-eum, make drama fans even more excited.
In the meantime, the news of Hwang In-youp's special appearance sparks expectations as he plays Heo In-kang, an idol-turned-actor and a top star who breaks the box office record in every movie he stars in. He has grit like a wicked man behind his glamour but is also with a deficit. With a sudden burnout, he wants to put everything down, and he meets Baek Ah-jin and starts to change little by little. Expectations are high on what new performances Hwang In-youp, who has been loved by the public for his impactful performances in "True Beauty", "The Sound of Magic" and "Why Her?" will show off his new side through "Dear X".
Meanwhile, the original TVING series "Dear X" was written by director Lee Eung-bok and sensual director Park So-hyun-III, and Choi Ja-won, who won the top prize in the KBS one-act drama script contest in 2018, was in charge of writing. As it is based on the popular Naver Webtoon with the same name, which has a thick fandom around the world, attention is being paid to how it will be reborn by meeting the production team with sensuous directing and sharp writing skills.
The original television series "Dear X" will be released in television in 2025.
