Hyun Young to Teach College Courses

After returning to her studies as a mature student, supermodel-turned-entertainer Hyun Young is about to become a college professor.
Hyeon is currently studying for a master's degree in journalism and mass communication at Korea University, but she will also teach fashion arts to students at Seoul Art College.
Kim Min-sung, chief director of the college, said Hyeon was appointed because she is on her way to earning a graduate degree and she has demonstrated an ability to teach through a number of special university lectures. "We believe she will be able to provide valuable knowledge from the field, which we hope will be useful for our students", Kim added.
Hyeon said, "I plan to put more weight on practical exercises in my lectures based on my experiences gained in the field. I'll do my best and make classes interactive, not like one-sided lectures, as if I were also one of the students".
Hyeon launched her career in the entertainment industry after placing in the 1997 SBS Super Model Contest and has since become one of Korea's most active and versatile entertainers, working as an actress, singer, model and host of a number of programs.
