"Work Later, Drink Now"

If you're looking for a bite-sized series to take away your blues, "Work Later, Drink Now" is the perfect drama for you. It is an ongoing web drama airing on TVING starring Lee Sun-bin, Choi Si-won, Jung Eun-ji and Han Sunhwa that tells the story of ordinary 30 something year olds who seek refuge in alcohol after a long day at work. Not only will the drama be relatable but it also has a unique sense of humour that will have you rolling over laughing.

"The King's Affection"

"The King's Affection" is a very special historical drama that deals with complex contemporary themes such as gender identity, political intrigue, discrimination and more but through the lens of a royal romantic comedy. The drama stars Park Eun-bin and Rowoon in the leading roles as the Crown Prince Lee Hwi (who is actually the Crown Prince's twin sister Da-mi disguised as him) and the royal tutor Jeong  Ji-woon. As is common with K-Dramas, they're fated to be together and the drama charts how they find their way back to each other despite the unfavourable circumstances.

While the first season of "Welcome to Waikiki" is a definite hit, the second season seems to be painfully underrated. Starring the charming Kim Seon-ho and Mun Ka-young, this drama once again follows the story of three friends running a semi-successful guest house and a woman who enters their life like a falling star. "Touch Your Heart" portrays one of the most admirable, healthy and respectful relationships in the history of K-Dramas through the love story of Oh Jin-sim (Yoo In-na) and Kwon Jung-rok (Lee Dong-wook). What makes this drama special is the blend of courtroom thrill and romantic comedy, both of which are perfectly balanced. Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun-hye are brilliant as Choi  Han-gyeol and Go  Eun-chan, setting the standard for romantic comedies and ushering the era of the Hallyu wave all over the world.

Have you ever felt like your antics are simply too intolerable for someone to be able to love you as you are? Let "Mad for Each Other" change your mind. Starring Jung Woo and Oh Yeon-seo, this drama tells the story of how two people who are keeping themselves from living their life to the fullest due to internalised trauma, learn to heal their inner wounds and seek happiness, rightfully so. The chemistry between our leads is simply electric too! If you haven't watched "Mad for Each Other" yet, now is the perfect time to do so.
