According to a report by MyDaily on the 6th, Jang Ki-yong will star as the lead in the drama "Law of Lines".

In the series, Jang Ki-yong plays Tak Do-il, the head of the Central Team at the Seoul Regional Headquarters of Nara Bank's Sales Group. A graduate of a provincial university, he enters the company through blind recruitment and, as a so-called 'black tie' employee with no connections, initially has no chance of joining the powerful inner circles. However, after earning a commendation from the bank president for his role in catching a voice-phishing criminal, he is transferred to Seoul just one year after joining the company. He later becomes a role model for other 'black tie' employees and rises to become a top "Kingmaker".

"Law of Lines" is an office political noir about a man with no backing or connections who overturns the power games of office mafias and shatters established 'lines' using nothing but his uncanny political instincts. The drama portrays realistic workplace concerns, such as favoritism, loyalty tests, and performance evaluation conflicts, through episodic storytelling that resonates with office workers. The series is directed by Kim Sung-yong, known for "The Veil" and "My Dearest".

Jang Ki-yong recently appeared in the SBS drama "Dynamite Kiss" which concluded on the 25th of last month. Through its depiction of breakups and reunions, the show helped establish him as an actor whose romantic comedies truly resonate with audiences. By choosing a workplace drama for his next project, Jang Ki-yong is set to reveal a new side of himself while aiming to connect with working viewers.
