"The Great Oksuk" is a story of housewives who abandon bodies in the Han River after an incident to protect the right to view the Han River. It is the second story of Mae-mi and Hee-se, who wrote the original Netflix series "Mask Girl" based on the Naver webtoon of the same name.

Initially, actress Yum Jung-ah was reportedly under consideration after receiving a proposal to play the main character Bang Oksuk, but things fell through.

Jeon Do-yeon is the best actor in name and reality since her debut and in notable films. In the Netflix film "Kill Bok-soon", which was released in 2023, she transformed into a killer and performed a high-intensity action scene, and in the tvN drama "Crash Course in Romance" which aired in the same year, she gave a 180-degree different charm to her aunt role Nam Haeng-seon, who raised her sister's daughter alone.
