Popular Korean actor Jung Woo-sung will be the recipient of the "Achievement in Acting Award" at The Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival which will be held from Oct. 9 to 19.
Actors chosen from around the world are given the award every year for their positive contributions to the film industry.
While Jeong has received numerous accolades domestically, this will be his first international award. Past winners include Samuel L. Jackson, Hong Kong's Maggie Cheung, and Japan's Ken Watanabe.
Along with Jeong's award reception, his recent domestic box office smash, "The Good, the Bad, the Weird", has been invited to be screened at the festival.
In 2006, genre-bending auteur Bong Joon-ho received the audience award for his hit film, "The Host", and last year, _Kwak_Gyeong-taek received the same award, along with the best director prize.
