Joo Won, Kim Hee-sun to Star in New Sci-Fi TV Series

The new TV series "Alice" starring Kim Hee-sun and Joo Won is generating excitement as it is set to go on air next month.

Many fans cannot wait to see Joo return to the small screen, as the sci-fi drama is his first project since his discharge from mandatory military service in February last year.

Kim, who had her heyday in the 1990s, has experienced a resurgence in recent years by adding depth to her acting.

The sci-fi drama revolves around a man who is unable to feel emotions, and a time-traveling woman who resembles his dead mother.

Joo plays a detective who lacks the capacity to feel emotions. The role is expected to accentuate his toughness as he performs many thrilling action scenes while appearing numb.

Kim plays a double role as a genius physicist and a scientist from the future whose age ranges from 20s to 40s.

The much-anticipated drama will begin airing on SBS on Aug. 28.
