On the 17th, the agency Blade Entertainment reported the news of actor Jung Suk-yong's appearance in tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Captivating the King".

"Captivating the King" is a story about the brutal fate of Yi In (Cho Jung-seok), a king who is in a high position but has a humble heart, and a woman (Shin Se-kyung) who becomes a spy to topple him.

Jung Suk-yong plays the role of Se Dong, who had the most outstanding dexterity in the Joseon Dynasty. Se Dong, who first met Kang Hang-soon (Son Hyun-joo), a rural scholar who entered the capital city of Hanyang as a boarding house owner, is a person who naturally becomes a spy after experiencing great turbulence. With a pure and upright personality, he is expected to play the role of a strong supporter by supporting Kang Hee-soo (Shin Se-kyung), the daughter of Hang-soon.

Earlier, Jung Suk-yong charmingly portrayed Oh Min-woo, a villain who shook the Armed Forces headquarters, unlike the good and gentle characters he had played in Netflix series "D.P - Season 2" released last year.

In addition, he plays the role of Kang Hyeon-mo, Park Min-young's father, in tvN's "Marry My Husband" which is currently airing.

"Captivating the King" will premiere on the 21st and will be specially organized for the first and second consecutive episodes.
