Kara picked up the gong for Most Popular CMA International Group at the 17th China Music Awards in Macau on Thursday last week, besting rival K-pop groups Big Bang and 2NE1, and British boy band One Direction, in the process.

"We are delighted to receive such a prestigious award, and we'll return to China to show our gratitude to our Chinese fans", the girl group said in a statement.
The China Music Awards, the largest and most prestigious ceremony of its kind in the country, cover leading stars across Asia.
