According to Kim Dong-won-II's agency Lucky Monster Entertainment on the 15th, Kim Dong-won-II has confirmed his appearance in the ENA drama "The Kidnapping Day" (directed by Park Yoo-young and written by Kim Je-yeong).

"The Kidnapping Day" is a black comedy genre drama about a special collaboration between a clumsy kidnapper and an 11-year-old genius girl, based on a novel by writer Jung Hae-yeon. Yoon Kye-sang, Park Sung-hoon, Kim Shin-rok, and Kim Sang-ho will appear.

Director Park Yoo-young, who participated in the dramas "A Model Family", "Love Alarm - Season 2" and "Kingdom", and writer Kim Je-yeong, who wrote scenarios such as "Wonderful Nightmare", "Insane" and "Cheese in the Trap - Movie", will direct the film.

Kim Dong-won-II, a former member of the theater company Alley Road, has built up his acting skills step by step beginning with theater. He received a lot of love from viewers for his role as Kwak Han-yeong, the main infielder of Dreams on SBS' "Stove League". Recently in MBC's "Big Mouth", he showed off his strong and impressive presence as the new prison chief Gan Soo-cheol.

In addition, he showed a wide spectrum of acting in a number of dramas, including the role of Baek Kyeong, a Musan prison prisoner in SBS's "Doubtful Victory", Song Yoo-jin, the son of a murderer in MBC's "Less Than Evil", and Hwang Seong-rok, a former member of the Yeojin Tribe from JTBC's "My Country: The New Age". This adds to expectations of what kind of acting Kim Dong-won-II will show in the drama "The Kidnapping Day".

"The Kidnapping Day" is scheduled to air in the second half of 2023.
