Kim Min-gwi Acknowledges Fault, Didn't Violate Quarantine Rules

Amid controversy over allegations that actor Kim Min-gwi left the boundary without permission during self-quarantine and cheated on his girlfriend, the agency released a statement.

"The actor acknowledges his fault for the controversy over his private life and sincerely apologizes and deeply reflects on his immature judgment and actions", the agency Big Picture Entertainment said on Wednesday's official statement.

"However, it is not true that Kim Min-gwi violated the COVID-19 self-quarantine rule", it continued. "Kim Min-gwi felt symptoms and conducted tests at home since May 22nd, when he was notified of self-quarantine, and was diagnosed positive but is now fully cured".

Earlier on the 24th, an online community posted an article titled "The reality of the male actor from X drama is revealed". In the article, the writer claimed that the actor had been dating her for six years, but cheated on her with several women and even verbally abused her. The controversy grew as the it was said that the actor had secretly left the quarantine site while in self-quarantine because he was classified as a close contact with COVID-19.

Since then, Internet users have speculated that the actor is Kim Min-gwi of the drama "Nevertheless" from the photos posted by A. As if aware of this, Kim Min-gwi deleted photos and some comments related to his work "Kingdom: Ashin of the North" which he posted on his social network service, but left his account intact.
