"Pacemaker" had given Korean actor Kim Myung-min horse thighs!
At the recent press conference held on 3 January at the Lotte Cinema Konkuk University for Korean movie "Pacemaker", where Kim Myeong Min plays the role of a marathoner, the actor revealed that due to the movie, he developed muscular legs and thighs that can be compared to a horse! His old pants couldn't even fit him!
This is not surprising at all since Kim Myung-min, a known method actor, threw himself into intense training in preparation for the role of Joo Man Ho. Two months before the cameras started rolling in April last year, Kim Myung-min ran 20 km at the stadium, and another 10 km at the treadmill at home for about 3 to 4 times a week. During the course of the filming that finished at the end of August, he ran 10 to 20 km daily. Check out Kim Myung-min's training video here.
"Pacemaker" is a heartwarming and inspiring movie that revolves around the life of a retired marathon Pacemaker (Kim Myung Min) who gets a chance to run again. This time, he pursues his lifelong dream of completing a full marathon. The movie is directed by Kim Dal-joong and produced by Dream Capture Studios. Release in Korean theaters is set on 19 January 2012.
