On the 24th, a representative from Kim So-hyun's agency Peachy told Sports Today, "It is true that she has received an offer for "White Scandal", and she is currently reviewing it". Song Kang's agency Namoo Actors also released an official statement saying, ""White Scandal" is one of the projects under consideration".
Earlier that day, reports emerged that Kim So-hyun and Song Kang had been cast as the leads of the series.
The drama follows Ji Eun-seol, a once-promising child actress who falls from grace after taking the blame for her brother's crime. Now living as a road manager, she encounters Dan I-hyeok, who was at the center of the past incident, and enters a contract relationship with him, gradually uncovering long-buried secrets. The series is based on a popular web novel.
The project brings together writer Kim Ga-eun-V, known for "Call It Love", and director Kim Cheol-gyoo, who helmed "Mother - Drama" and "Flower of Evil".
Kim So-hyun and Song Kang previously worked together in the Netflix original series "Love Alarm" (released in 2019 and 2021). If confirmed, "White Scandal" would mark their on-screen reunion approximately five years after the second season, raising anticipation among fans.
