Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference at Stanford Hotel in Mapo-gu, Seoul at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st, emphasizing that "I did not date the deceased when she was a minor", and emphasizing, "It is also not true that the deceased made a tragic choice because of me and my agency pressed her for her debt".

He added, "Except that we are both actors, I and the deceased were like everyone else. We met each other with good feelings and we broke up over time".

In the midst of this, while leaving after the press conference, a person at the scene repeatedly asked, "Kim Soo-hyun, where and when did you first meet Kim Sae-ron?" and "Tell me when and how you met her", but no response was returned.

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun said at the end of the press conference, "Fake testimony and fake evidence are continuing under the pretext that I was dating the deceased", adding, "I don't want the untruth becoming the truth".

"Just as I went through the verification process for the contents of the Kakao Talk conversations, I will go through a process to thoroughly verify everything the bereaved family presents as evidence through the investigative agency", he said. "If the evidence of the bereaved family is true, I ask the investigative agency to submit all data and verify it through legal procedures".

Kim Jong-bok, a lawyer at the law firm LK Partners who attended with Kim Soo-hyun, also said, "We have decided to file criminal complaints and civil lawsuits against the everyone involved to clarify the facts".

"We filed a complaint (defamation) against the bereaved family and the so-called "Title for Members Only" and the owner of the YouTube channel Hoverlab (Garosero Research Institute) for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection", he said.

Kim Soo-hyun's side also filed a lawsuit against the bereaved family for damages worth a total of 12 billion won in the Seoul Central District Court.
