On the 3rd, Disney+ told iMBC Entertainment regarding the release of its original series "Knock-Off", "There has been no change from our previous position".
Starring Kim Soo-hyun and Jo Bo-ah, the Disney+ original series "Knock-Off" is a black comedy crime drama set during the 1997 Asian financial crisis in Korea. It follows a man whose life is completely upended by the crisis and who rises to become the king of the global counterfeit market.
Reportedly produced with a budget of 60 billion won, "Knock-Off" was originally scheduled to premiere in the second quarter of last year. However, Disney+ halted production and indefinitely postponed its release due to the controversy surrounding lead actor Kim Soo-hyun's private life.
Speculation about a first-half release this year recently spread following a media report. Kim Soo-hyun's legal representative, attorney Go Sang-rok, shared the article on his social media and stated, "There is a high possibility that it is true".
