Kim Soo-mi Rests in Peace

The late Kim Soo-mi, a 'national actress', rests in peace.

The coffin of the late Kim Soo-mi was strictly observed at 11 AM on the 27th at Hanyang University Hospital's funeral hall in Seoul.

Before the ceremony, the bereaved family held a service for the deceased, who was a Christian during her lifetime.

Broadcasters Jung Jun-ha, Yoon Jung-soo, Jang Dong-min, and producer Moon Tae-joo of "Soo-mi's Side Dish" carried the coffin in sadness.

Seo Hyo-rim, the daughter-in-law who called the deceased ' mom' hugged the coffin and sobbed, saying, "Mom, I'm sorry", adding to the sadness.

The deceased headed to Honor Stone, Yongin Park in Gyeonggi Province, with her family, acquaintances, and numerous entertainment colleagues.

Kim Soo-mi was rushed to Seoul St. Mary's Hospital in cardiac arrest on the morning of the 25th, but died. The cause of her death was confirmed as hyperglycemic shock.

Born in 1949, she debuted as a third-term MBC open talent in 1970 and was loved by viewers for her role as 'Il-yong's mother' in "A Country Diary".

Following the movie "Marrying the Mafia: Returns" which was released in September last year, she has been active in the musical "My Mother" until recently.
