"The Empire" depicts scandalous scandals of the nation's top law-abiding aristocrats dreaming of hereditary succession.
Kim Sun-a was offered the role of Han Hye-ryool, the head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.
Kim Sun-a's last drama was "Secret Boutique" in 2019.
