According to an exclusive report by MyDaily on the 9th, Kim Sung-cheol will star as the lead in the survival romantic human drama "Sleeping Doctor".

"Sleeping Doctor" follows a psychiatrist who has experienced sexual violence and believes he has overcome everything. After opening the private clinic, he long dreamed of, he finds himself unable to treat patients due to narcolepsy, which causes him to fall asleep whenever he stands in front of them. As a result, he acquires medical knowledge across all specialties and meets a 'munchkin' pay doctor, embarking on a struggle to survive as a self-employed doctor in the competitive world of neighborhood clinics. Along the way, it becomes a story of rehabilitation, as he learns to step back, at least a little, from the swamp of trauma he is forced to confront head-on once again.

Kim Sung-cheol plays Nam Ji-oh, a pay doctor at a psychiatric clinic whose natural gift is an exceptional memory. Jin Ki-joo takes on the role of Hong Kyeong-eun, the director of the Healer Psychiatric Clinic.

The drama delivers cathartic dialogue and ultimate revenge from a psychiatrist directed at sexual offenders, while also portraying a mutual-healing melodrama in which two people lift each other. It is a realistic romance about mature adults. The script is written by Baek Eun-kyeong-I, known for "Once Upon a Small Town".
