The movie "From a Low Place" is a psychological drama about the survival struggles of two people tied to the shadow of death, mother Hae-sook and daughter Yoon-seul.
In the movie, Kim Sung-ryung plays Hae-sook, a mother who drives alone on dangerous mountain roads every night after her son dies. Hae-sook, who raised siblings alone while working as a real estate agent in a local city, is a complex person who tries to keep her elegance on the surface but is buried in self-destructive behavior after her son's death.
The complex psychology of the mother, whose daughter has returned home after a long time, but does not dare to face it, will be solved with Kim Sung-ryung's unique delicate acting skills.
"From a Low Place" is the feature film debut of director Kim Hyun-min-I, who has been an active film journalist and critic and directed the short film LOST. It is set to crank up this year.
