In "Twinkling Watermelon", Kim Tae-woo played Yoon Gun-hyung, the father of Yoon Cheong-ah (Shin Eun-soo) and the chairman of Jinseong Instrument, which is the creation of beautiful sounds.
Kim Tae-woo deals with Eun-Gyeol (Ryeoun) over sign language tutoring in the drama to help Cheong-ah talk to the world, and also expresses his anger toward Im Ji-mi (Kim Joo-ryoung), feeling miserable that her daughter has been abused at home so far. He had a proper conversation with his daughter for the first time on the 14th.
He tried to communicate with his daughter by practicing sign language with a book, which Yi-chan (Choi Hyun-wook) previously said, "If you can convey your heart even if you can't use sign language, it will be conveyed somehow". At a meal for just the two of them, Yoon Geon-hyeong encouraged Cheong-ah to go on a business trip abroad and tried to communicate in clumsy sign language, "Take some time off and travel", giving a calm impression.
Despite his brief appearance in the second half, he caught the eye of viewers by heavily portraying a businessman's determined and sharp attitude from his affection for his daughter.
Kim Tae-woo said through his agency J-Wide Company, "It appeared briefly, but I had a lot to learn from young juniors, and it was a very happy time to be with good staff".
He added, "Thank you very much for watching the drama, and I will come back with good work".
