The complainant filed a complaint against Kim Yong-gun at the Seocho Police Station in Seoul in late July on charges of attempted abortion. It was a conflict over whether to give birth or not, leading to a legal dispute. 'A' is known to have met with the police recently and completed giving her statement.

Among them, Kim Yong-gun and 'A' show sharp differences in their positions on whether they were assaulted or threatened.

Kim Yong-gun said in a statement through his legal representative on August 2nd, "I've tried appealing to her that I can't father the child considering all circumstances. I've begged, complained, and even got angry. Although it was a little late, I realized that the child is more important than my reputation and told her and the lawyer several times from May 23rd, 2021 to recently that I would fulfill my responsibility for giving birth and raising the child".

On the other hand, 'A' claims that Kim Yong-gun urged abortion and forced her to give up child support money. She also claimed to have been assaulted and threatened, releasing a transcript of the conversation.

In this regard, Kim Yong-gun said, "There was no assault", but said he would refrain from further rebuttal.

There was also a disagreement over the contact. 'A"s side said, "In May, 'A' blocked contact and told Kim Yong-gun to talk to her lawyer only". They said from May to recently, Kim Yong-gun's statement that he had repeatedly told 'A' and her lawyer that he would fulfill his responsibility for giving birth and raising children smoothly, was a lie.

Meanwhile, Kim Yong-gun's police investigation schedule is yet to be set.
