KNTO to Publicize Chihwaseon to French Audience
Published on | Source
Korean pop culture has been garnering increasing popularity across Asia in recent years, riding the high tide of the so-called "Han-ryu" or Korean wave.
To further fuel the trend and to expand the destination of the cultural phenomenon, the Korea National Tourism Organization (KNTO) is set to promote locally-produced cultural products in Europe.
As the first step, KNTO officials are planning to screen Chihwaseon in Paris, a Korean flick that won the Best Director Award at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2002.
According to the state-run agency, "Chihwaseon" in English will hit the silver screens in the French capital next Monday and Tuesday.
