According to several sources, Kong Hyo-jin is coming back with "When the Camellia Blooms" written by Lim Sang-choon. It is directed by Cha Yeong-hoon from "Becky's Back" and "Are You Human?".
Kong Hyo-jin's role in "When the Camellia Blooms" is the owner of Camellia, a bar. She is called Camellia like the flower, but she's not as strong as she sounds and is actually a very comforting character. She may seem timid and introverted but ends up saying everything she wants to and she has her own policies. She's an orphan and a single mother with a son. She's never been loved but she knows how to love.
"When the Camellia Blooms" is a complex blend of romance, thriller, and comedy. It was initially targeted for early next year, but it has been pushed back to September of 2019.
Romantic comedy queen Kong Hyo-jin returns to drama after a three year hiatus since SBS's "Don't Dare to Dream".
