Korea to Host World's Biggest Benefit Concert

The world's biggest benefit concert is set to take place in Korea next year.

The Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream will be held in Seoul on Sept. 26, 2020, according to SM Entertainment, which will be in charge of putting on the event.

Billed as the "Live Aid of the 21st Century" after the 1985 live rock event, it is part of a global campaign by Global Citizen, an international advocacy organization, to raise funds to end poverty and reduce inequality.

The event will be broadcast live in New York, and Lagos, Nigeria as well as Europe and Latin America.

The lineup includes Coldplay, Metallica, Muse, Usher, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Pharrell Williams, and K-pop stars like EXO, SuperM and BoA.
