Korean Director Receives Best Youth Film Honor at Berlin Festival

Director Kim Bora's "House of Hummingbird" won the top prize in the Generation 14plus sidebar for youth-oriented films at the 69th Berlin Film Festival, which ended on Sunday.
The film, Kim's debut feature, is a coming-of-age drama about an isolated, lonely 14-year-old girl living in Seoul in the mid-1990s.
The winner of the Generation 14plus section receives 7,500 euros from Germany's Federal Agency for Civic Education.
Kim said, "I never expected to win a prize. I just felt so honored to be invited to the Berlinale. The award is a bonus and I'm delighted by it. I want to share the beauty of this world I see through movies".
