Synopsis
Genie - a magic spirit in a lamp who has come back to the human world after a millennium of his career being put on hold - encounters Ga-yeong, an impassive woman who goes through the motions of life by her grandmother's rules and her own routines. Genie and Ga-yeong go through three wishes in this lighthearted, feel-good romantic comedy. Written by "The Glory" writer Kim Eun-sook, "Genie, Make a Wish" also reunited Kim Woo-bin and Bae Suzy after "Uncontrollably Fond". Kim Woo-bin takes on the role of Genie, who wakes from his lamp after a thousand years, while Bae Suzy plays Ga-yeong, a cold and stoic human without any compassion who becomes the Genie's new master. Ahn Eun-jin ("Good Bad Mother") plays the mysterious Mi-joo, while Steve Sanghyun Noh ("Pachinko") plays Soo-hyeon, a handsome building owner of suspicious wealth who is also Genie's brother, going against him. Sayyid, Genie's right-hand man who is actually a black jaguar, is played by Ko Kyu-phil ("The Fiery Priest"), and Ga-yeong's only friend Min-ji is played by Lee Zoo-young ("Believer").
