Synopsis
Once a top-tier trainee, he suddenly falls from grace to become a "soldier under watch". His life takes a supernatural turn when he begins hearing a mysterious voice that only he can hear. All physically fit men in South Korea are required to complete approximately 18 to 21 months of mandatory military service. Lived under strict discipline and apart from civilian society, this period has become a source of deep shared experience and countless stories for Koreans. What keeps such a massive organization running each day is, above all else, food. Military cooks are responsible for preparing three meals a day for hundreds, sometimes thousands of soldiers. For many service members, mealtime is the day's greatest comfort and main source of energy, making the quality of the food directly tied to morale. "The Legend of Kitchen Soldier" is a fantasy coming-of-age series set in the demanding world of military kitchens.
