Synopsis
Detective agency employee In-soo steals a priceless golden Buddha, valued at several trillion won, and goes into hiding in Mai Mountain for ten years. When he finally resurfaces to sell the artifact, he is murdered by Ki-hyeok, another member of the agency, who then takes the Buddha for himself. However, Ki-hyeok soon falls prey to the infamous Earring Killer, who brutally ends his life.

The golden Buddha eventually lands in the hands of Yeon-sik, a former police officer, who realizes it is the same artifact he once transported, only to lose it to thieves, along with his men, a decade ago.

Ten years prior, the government, wary of diplomatic tensions with Japan, entrusted the transport of Chairman Choi's national treasure, the golden Buddha, to a private company. Yeon-sik's detective agency was tasked with the delivery, but security was compromised, leading to an ambush and tragic losses. With public criticism mounting, Yeon-sik disappears.

However, the Buddha he transported was merely a decoy. The real one was secretly handled by Moo-dal's team, in a covert operation orchestrated by Byeong-wook, a police superintendent overseeing the mission. But the plan ultimately failed, Moo-dal's own trusted agent, In-soo, betrayed them, stealing the real Buddha.

Unaware of Moo-dal's original operation, the world continues to blame Yeon-sik, and the golden Buddha fades from public memory.

Now, after a decade, the artifact resurfaces, sparking an intense battle among those desperate to claim its fortune.
