Lee Chang-dong received the best screenplay award for "Poetry" in the main competition.
"Ha Ha Ha" by Hong Sang-soo received the "Un Certain Regard Prize" in the "Un Certain Regard" competition.
The Palme d'Or went to the Thai movie "Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives" by Apichatpong WEERASETHAKUL.
