Kwak Jin-young Admits Her Post-Surgery TV Phobia
Published on | Source
Having been absent from the public eye for more than two years, actress Kwak Jin-young said she was afraid to appear on TV after confessing to having received plastic surgery.
In a recent interview with the Sports Hankook, Kwan said, "About two years ago, I appeared on a TV program and admitted I suffered from the side effects of plastic surgeries. However, after that program aired, the media was only interested in the plastic surgery, not on why I couldn't make TV appearances and how much I suffered from that experience. It was distressing, and I was afraid to be on TV again after then".
After undergoing an ill-fated repeat operation to make double eye-lids, Kwak suffered from somnipathy because she could not close her eyes.
"When I heard about the suicide of late actress Choi Jin-sil, I felt so bad. People seem to be indifferent to the suffering of others. But I understand so well why some people resort to such extremes because I was so lonely", said Kwak.
She plans to make a return to the TV screen in the near future.
