It also features hot young stars such as Seo In-guk and Lee Jong-suk.
Sports-themed films have not met with much success in Korea since "Take Off" in 2008, which dealt with ski jumpers. But "No Breathing" director Jo Yong-sun said, "It's not just about swimming. It talks about friendship and family, and it's a really good film for families to watch together".
Yuri met with critical acclaim for her performances in several TV dramas, which has built expectations for her movie debut.
"I'm happy to be part of the cast. I hope I can continue to expand my career to include more acting roles in the future", she said.
The film will be released on Oct. 31.
